Right before Emmett’s Birthday, we went to Disneyland. We had so much fun! He just loved it. I think his favorite (and mine) was seeing the characters. We loved the look on his face when he spotted someone he knew. It was precious. The first character he got to meet was Pluto. He was so excited and jumping in place as he waited for his turn to give a big high five and hug!
He quickly got down the routine…greet, hug, turn and smile for the camera. We were so lucky to see Mickey here on Main Street USA. He popped out from backstage right in front of us and Emmett hopped over to be first in line!
Minnie was super cute. Emmett ran up to her and she bent down like this and swept him off his feet and gave him kisses. I totally admire the characters and their hard work, I was very impressed with each of them.
The new CarsLand was one of the things I was really looking forward to. I didn’t get many pictures to do it justice, but it was amazing! It felt like we stepped right in to the movie. We had lunch at Flo’s Cafe, perfectly retro (you can see the neon sign in the background above). They had three rides-Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree-a fun crack-the-whip type tow truck ride, Luigi’s Tires-a slow labor intensive bumper car, and Radiator Springs Racers-the wait for that one was loooong, but Pitt hopped on through the single rider line and reports it is super. Radiator Springs is definitely a place we will go back to often. “The prettiest lil town in Carburator County!” I sure thought so.
Winnie the Pooh is a family favorite. Emmett sleeps with his life-size Pooh every night, so when we saw him in person, Emmett was completely enchanted. There was a little line so while he waited, he watched Pooh’s every move, smiling and laughing.
