Fall Favorites

I had better post this before this snow storm moves in or else the title would feel too outdated. Emmett got a bike for his birthday and we’ve been riding it a lot. Here he is with his friend River who has been riding a bike since April. He’s a pro! Emmett’s getting the hang of it. It’s a Strider bike, a little push bike without pedals. He’ll be coasting in no time!

Halloween night with Emmett and our neighbor Tristan. Isn’t that the cutest lil Pooh Bear you’ve ever seen!? He refused to wear his costume until the day of. When Tristan showed up to go out, we couldn’t get that costume on him fast enough. He loved trick-or-treating! They’re both 2, so it was their first time.

Jumping in the leaves. I don’t know who had more fun, Pitt or Emmo.

Also, I finished the baby quilt I’ve been working on! I think it turned out lovely. It was my first time trying a “wonky” block and I loved it! I was able to give it to my new niece last week when she and Suz came to visit us in Utah.

Big chili cook-off tonight with the Elder’s Quorom. We’re in charge, like usual…I hope people come, but not too many people–I only bought 2 Costco pies for dessert. I guess I also hafta make chili. We’ll see how that one goes. I’m no “chef-n-training”! (The amazing Chef is married to my cousin BTW)

I have always wanted to try one of those wonky quilts but it seemed hard so I haven’t dove in that far. Love your pictures, miss your cute little family! xoxoxo

Fall is indeed fleeting away. I loved the Pooh Bear costume! Emmett is the cutest thing ever. I drove by some people playing in a pile of leaves and it took me back. It even smells good.
The quilt is amazing. You got your mom’s sewing/quilting skills that’s for sure. It was great to see you last Sunday.

We got a strider for Landon when he was learning to ride without training wheels and it was awesome! After about 2 days of using it and learning to balance he was on a two wheeler! Great investment! Emmett is so dang cute! And I LOVE the quilt you made 🙂 great job!
