Utah Chocolate Chip Cookies

We had cookies for dinner (my favorite meal).  A few posts ago I mentioned a new cookie recipe I tried and loved.  Well, I had to bake them again just to make sure that the recipe is worth sharing and I tell you it IS! To me, you can tell a good cookie from the dough…and I think I enjoy this cookie dough more than the baked cookies!! Here’s the recipe for my Utah Choc.Chip Cookies. It’s a recipe from Good Things Utah that has been created with our high altitude in mind-that’s why I call them “Utah ChocChip Cookies.” Sorry no pictures, I just don’t take pictures of my food.

2 sticks butter

¼ c. sugar

1 ¼ c. brown sugar

1 egg

1 egg yolk

2 Tbs. milk

1 ½ tsp. vanilla

2 ½ -3 c. flour

1 tsp. soda

1 tsp. salt

12 oz. chocolate chips

Cream together butter and sugar, then add eggs, milk and vanilla-mix and slowly add dry ingredients. Stir in chocolate chips and refrigerate dough for at least 60 minutes. Make golf ball-size balls and space out on cookie sheet lined with parchment. Bake at 350 degrees for 11-12 minutes. Yield 3-4 dozen (depending on how much dough you eat!)
