What a week…

Here we go! What started off as a pretty mellow vacation for my parents including pool time, a trip to the Iolani Palace Museum, beach kayaks, and shopping quickly turned into one of the most extreme! Scott and Pitt booked the 4 of us to go skydiving without the girls knowing. They let me know before we did it, but we didn’t say a word to Debbie. The next day we all got in the car to head to North Shore (or so Debbie thought). We pulled up to the skydiving establishment and there was no protest from Deb. Scott, Pitt and I didn’t want to question her, so we just all quietly signed our waivers. The next thing we knew we were getting into our harnesses-even MOM!  We all made the jump from 14,000 feet and it was one of the coolest things ever! This is my dad In the air.  We all agreed that the worst part is stepping up to the door of the plane and looking down. You’re thinking, “Am I completely crazy!?” The next thing you know you’re falling (120 mph for over a minute).  It was a beautiful view from up there. Wish I did that everyday at work!

That’s crazy! I am surprised that all you are wearing is shorts and a tee-shirt.

I know! We went tandem with someone else and they say you get a lesson. Well the “lesson” is about 30 seconds long and it’s your instructor saying, “So, you cross your arms and then when I tap you open them. Ok?” OK, I guess! You should think about doing it. I would do it again in a second!

WOW! That is awesome! I don’t think I would ever dare do that…so crazy! I’m glad you all survived!
